Job Description:
We need contractors with expertise in API and Microservice experience. They will support both Web and Mobile Applications under Velocity Black. We are building a ton of new features and functionality. Will report to Manita directly in a team of 6.

Must Have:
• 50/50 front and back-end development
• REACT
• Expertise in writing and developing APIs in Node JS/Typescript and REST
• Back End: Node JS, ECS Faregate, REST API development
• AWS> ECS, docker, S3
• CI/CD pipelines> Jenkins
• Experience in relational and non-relational databases
• Serverless and container-based development.
Nice to Have:
• Strong communication and ability to interface with both developers and stakeholders.
• Targeting previous Cap1 contractors

Primary Duties:
Work with a team of developers with deep experience in distributed microservices and full stack systems for both web and mobile
Perform software development on full-stack applications leveraging a test-driven development pattern.
Own the technical design and development of cross-functional, multi-platform application systems.
Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities, and mentoring other members of the engineering community.
Collaborate with digital product managers and deliver robust cloud-based solutions that drive powerful experiences to help millions of Americans achieve financial empowerment.
Communicate effectively with engineering teammates, as well as with non-technical partners and stakeholders.
Utilize programming languages including TypeScript (Node, React, React Native), RESTful web services, relational and nonrelational databases, CICD pipelines (Jenkins), and cloud-based services (AWS/GCP)
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree
• At least 6 years of professional software engineering experience (Internship experience does not apply)
• At least 1 year experience with cloud computing (AWS, Google Cloud)
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master’s Degree
• 7+ years of experience in at least one of the following: TypeScript/JavaScript, React, Node
• 4+ years of experience in open-source frameworks
• 2+ years of experience in Agile practices
• 1+ years of people management experience
• Prior Capital One experience is a plus.
